Illustration Notes for Episode Thirty-One

I had to whip out this week’s image quick and dirty! Between preparations for a hearty snowstorm which trapped us in our house for a few days, the arrival of two substantial writing jobs, and a lot of appointment schedule rearrangement set in motion by all of those, I found scraps of time where I could. Happily, landscape—which is what this week’s image primarily is—is my specialty. So I scrawled it out right under the wire, and am pretty happy with how it turned out! :D

The only thing that makes me a tad sad about this image is the ‘sepia’ color scheme that all ‘Matt’s Tale’ illustrations are in. Every now and then, I really wish I could do one of those in full color. This is one of those times. I may look into finding a more flexible solution to this issue when we get around to publishing the hardback version of this ‘season’ of TWICE. I have some ideas…
