Illustration Notes for Episode Thirty-Four

This week’s episode is back in current time—which means BACK TO FULL COLOR, BABY! No more sepia tone for a while! Woot!

Unfortunately, any depiction of the most interesting parts of this episode would also have been major spoilers. So I opted for Colleen and Dusty’s conversation in the hallway after class. After all, this MAY be the last time we see them together in the same picture for a while—not that I’m saying it WILL be. …But it COULD be. So, why not?

After FIVE WEEKS of amber sepia tone imagery, I did enjoy seeing how much color I could add to the ‘white’ walls without making them look too strange, and playing with the syncopated dance of reds and blues in in the foreground.

Happily, we’ll be in full color mode for quite a few more weeks before returning to Matt’s tale. I’m looking forward to it. :]
